Paesano Pizza - Glasgow
Paesano Pizza...
Hearty Italian food is the cure to all problems, and no where quite captures that idea like Paesano Pizza. Located just off of George Square, in the edge of merchant city it is in a prime location to welcome all of it's customers.

is a TikTok account doing god’s work finding the best places to eat in both
Edinburgh and Glasgow. The short video captures the warmth the restaurant
radiates and gives a quick rundown of what the hidden gem has to offer.
As a student, pizza is a
staple in my diet and this blog gave me the opportunity to reinforce that. Even
on a rainy day the Paesano sign can cut through the bad weather to warm you up. The
restaurant, clearly very modern in its ways has a no booking system and instead
they ask you to sit in their small waiting area. Doing so gives you the
opportunity to take in the rustic interior including the famed wooden benches, with
an open kitchen lining the back wall. The menu is simple with it's selections and
numbered system, but offers you a range of flavours. The staff themselves seem
to float around through the busy madness, thoroughly capable in their
role.
The piping hot pizza gets delivered to your table within 15 minutes and is a more than welcomed interruption. The sourdough bread adds a homemade element that you struggle to get with any other restaurant, putting chains such as Pizza Hut to shame. Topped with the perfect ratio of sauce to mozzarella and toppings of your choice, tangible proof that Paesano's have perfected their craft. Their overall simple recipe reinforces the sentiment that as long as you have the right ingredients and the skill set necessary that basic dishes can be the best.

Until next time,
